FGM Mandatory Reporting Duty and Online Training

 From 31 October 2015 there is a mandatory duty for regulated Health and Social Care professionals and teachers in England and Wales to report known cases of FGM in under 18s to the police. The MSCB adopts the Greater Manchester Safeguarding Procedures for Female Genital Mutilation which can be accessed at:http://greatermanchesterscb.proceduresonline.com/chapters/p_fgm.html

There are agreed training standards as part of the GM FGM Strategy and these components are covered in the free Home Office on-line training which can be accessed at:   www.fgmelearning.co.uk
